Hi and cheers for stopping by my little Fan Site for a
rather remarkable car ... the very cute, Toyota Sera.
The Toyota Sera was a concept come reality, hard to
believe they made em really since so few concept cars ever make it to the mass market. Fair enough they only made 16'000, and they didn't bring many to the Uk since it was designed specifically for the Japanese market.
As for me... my name's Bboi (pronounced Be Boy) - I live in the Uk, and as far as I know, I'm the only owner to go through 3 engine in 3 years (long story - visit my garage to read about it).
And the car ? she's in GREAT shape for her age really... a 1991 H Reg, and I've had the car since December 2007. I can hand on heart say that it was one hell of a buy. The attraction of course, is the Gullwing Doors, and despite them not really catching on here in the 90's - I'm finding this little beauty is pretty much a babe-magnet ! plus all the kids like to shout '' LAMBO '' which is funny as hell lol ... probably because there's so few of em around, it's quite the eye-opener at filling stations too, no wonder McLaren reverse engineered the doors for their F1 car. I guess that makes the Sera it's Dad now - more or less lol... nothing quite like having providence in a car !
Since acquiring my Sera, i've joined the Uk Sera Fan Club / Owners Club run by Andy Cliffe, and made some awesome mates in the community.
Sera events are about non-existant bar for mini meets and race days ( driven by ImpressiveG & DanQ ) - granted i've yet to attend one, but i'm told it's great fun !
I've attended a few Japanese car shows though, including the JAE in 2008 (the Japanese Auto Extravaganza .. you can view the gallery by clicking >> HERE << ) and the Rising Sun Car Show at Nostel Priory. I'll be at this years gig's too - hit up the sites to check the dates, and if you see us there, big SERA banner, can't miss it - come on over, take load off ya feet and have a chat...
Anyroad, enough banter .. time to browse my lovely toyota sera site a bit, you'll find a world map of Toyota Sera locations, some merchandise, and a cool slideshow, car and event galleries, and of course the infamous pose on my car models gallery.
